KOJAK Debuts at Fashion Forward Dubai

KOJAK Debuts at Fashion Forward Dubai

"My soul is red, like love and fire, and sweet red roses."

Raw talent and drive are two things known to cultivate success. However, along the way people and opportunities act as catalysts to help us get to where we want to be. It's up to us to make sure that when an opportunity presents itself, that we seize it and make the most out of it.

Mohanad Kojak, Chief Designer and Artistic Director, at Kojak Studio, will be debuting his SS ’18 collection at Fashion Forward Dubai's tenth season. The collection is inspired by the concept of social genocide, entitled "Rage of the Angels", it sheds light on the idea that genocide, racism and discrimination occur within social circles on a minute and powerful scale, and not only in the literal sense.

This collection depicts a harsh reality, using bold colors and red in majority, in contrast to Kojak's usual use of neutral shades and cool tone pastels. Drawing inspiration from the Victorian era, and maintaining the whimsical themes of angelic motifs from the previous collection, "Rage of the Angels" makes a stark and blood red statement through ethereal structural garments.

We've followed Kojak from the very beginning, and FFD is a commendable step forward in the career of a designer that's proven time and time again that being true to yourself, to your vision and to your roots never ceases to impress and amaze people.

Keep an eye out for this season of FFD, we have a feeling it'll be one to rememeber.

Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.
